1 — Electric motor; 2 — Rotating vessel; 3 — Graduated ruler; 4 — Graduated cross-bar; 5 — Autotransformer; 6 — Counter; 7 — Speed transducer

Technical Data
  • Electric motor (1) — drives the acrylic vessel (2) via a belt transmission
  • Graduated ruler (3) — moves vertically and radially along the graduated cross-bar (4); locked in the desired position using set screws, with tip coordinates read on the associated verniers
  • Speed control: motor speed is adjusted via the autotransformer (5) and measured using a pulse transducer (7) and counter (6)
