FM567 · Flow Meter Trainer
Flow measurement is a fundamental requirement in process engineering, hydraulics and industrial systems. Different measurement principles are suited to different applications, and the selection of an appropriate flow meter requires an understanding of the operating principle, accuracy, pressure loss and installation constraints of each technology.
The FM567 trainer enables systematic study and direct comparison of a broad range of flow measurement technologies on a single apparatus. The unit operates as a self-contained closed water circuit, eliminating the need for a permanent water supply connection. A high-precision electromagnetic flow meter is integrated as a reference instrument, allowing calibration and accuracy assessment of all other meters under identical flow conditions. Pressure losses across each flow meter are measured using U-tube manometers and a Bourdon tube gauge. All flow meters studied in the experiments are included with the apparatus — no additional purchases are required.
